God is Faithful When We Fall

Timothy once struggled with debilitating seizures from epilepsy and never knew when an episode would strike. Thrashing, confusion, and blackouts were common, leaving him unable to lead a relatively normal life. Timothy, a devout Hindu in India, tried everything he could to rid himself of the seizures. He went to temples for prayer and tried many clinics and hospitals, but nothing eased his suffering. His epilepsy remained uncontrolled and unpredictable. It was during this time that a church planter visited his area and shared the Gospel with him. For the first time in his life, Timothy heard about Jesus. Not only did the evangelist talk about eternal life with Jesus, but he told him that He had the power to heal his sickness. Timothy believed in Jesus and was water baptized. He stopped having seizures soon afterwards, and then spent three months in Biblical and pastoral training. Upon completion, he and another worker pastored for three years. All was well in his life until he began to let sin control him once again. The behavior of others influenced him greatly and Timothy walked away from serving the Lord. Soon after, his epilepsy attacks returned. During one bad seizure, Timothy fell into unconsciousness, and he had no idea what was happening to him. When he regained his senses, he was horrified to discover that during his seizure he had accidentally killed someone. Timothy was sentenced to 21 years in prison. He was wracked with guilt for his actions and ashamed that his sinful behavior had caused such a terrible thing to occur. He begged God’s forgiveness and repented for his sin. As the purifying light of redemption and forgiveness filled him, he began telling the other inmates about Jesus. The transformation that occurred in his life alerted the guards to the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. They watched him care for the others and saw that he was different, and once again he was free from the debilitating seizures that had followed him to prison. Timothy was released from jail after serving 11 years of his sentence. He went for more ministry training before he began ministry in Nepal. Today, Timothy is married with 6 children, and his entire family serves the Lord.

In Lamentations 3:21 – 23, we read: This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope; the Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail, they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness!

Timothy experienced the never-ending love of the Father and knows firsthand that His mercies are new each morning.

He went to temples for prayer and tried many clinics and hospitals, but nothing eased his suffering.

SIT REPORT: The Victorious Year of 2021

The Word of God has been given to us for such times as these to provide believers with comfort and peace. Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days—You would not believe if you were told” (Habakkuk 1:5 NASB). Read more...
